Message from our Co-Founder and Executive Chairman

To our stakeholders:
We are very proud to present for the second year in a row the sustainability report for Agrovision Peru, Arena Verde and the incorporation of Agrovision Mexico, belonging to Agrovision Corp, makinguse of the Global Reporting methodology Initiative (GRI).

This document outlines the goals and achievements obtained from January 1 to December 2021, in regards to our economic, social, environmental and good corporate governance, based on our founding principle “Transform lands, Transform lives” and to the firm commitment to the 8 Goals from the United Nations Sustainable Development, aligned to our management.

We start the year 2021 with a great milestone at the corporate level, we began the operations of Agrovision Mexico, headquarters located in the state of Jalisco, made up of 79 hectares where we grow blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, in addition to generating employment for more than 240 people.

In Peru, with the companies Agrovision Peru and Arena Verde, we managed to break the record of sales that we had set, obtaining a 57% growth. Likewise, we consolidated our strong positioning in the export sector, as a result of vertical integration, advanced genetics and commitment to products with more variety and with quality assured.

With regard to environmental management, we are proud to have obtained the Alliance Water Stewardship (AWS) international certification for our companies Agrovision Peru and Arena Verde, which is a sign of the high standards we have for efficient management. and protection of water resources. The latter becomes relevant in the Lambayeque region, which has a high rate of residents who do not have access to this essential service.

We assume an active role for the conservation of biodiversity and areas of reserve in the Lambayeque region, being referents in the protection of ecosystems natural. This experience has allowed us rank 2nd in the sub category Sustainable Production, belonging to the Biodiversity category of the recognized Green Awards, one of the most relevant to sustainability in the world, for the articulated and high-impact work in environmental matters.

Regarding social management, we generate more than 15,000 local jobs, made up of 45% women,figures relevant to achieving gender equity and improve the living conditions of the population of Mórrope and Olmos in the region Lambayeque of northern Peru.

Also, during the pandemic we promoted our programs Sowing Hope and Sowing Health, helping the residents of Olmos and Mórrope, by providing medicines and strengthen vaccination campaigns Lambayeque health network, for greater scope of services.

I want to end by thanking everyone each and every one of the collaborators at Agrovision, of the Peru and Mexico operations, because they are who make it possible to maintain our work philosophy in which it is established that the joint growth of the company, of the social environment and of the lands that house, they are our pillars. Likewise, to our customers and consumers around the world world, for the trust placed and for continue choosing the quality that characterizes our products.

For us, “Transforming Land and Lives” is contributing so that our environment and our stakeholders capitalize to the maximum the benefits of our presence and agro-industrial activity. Transforming land and lives synthesizes our commitment to performance beyond financial results, involves making transparent our ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) indicators and practices.

500 million dollars in assets invested in sustainable and friendly agricultural operations with the ecosystems that surround us.

• We are a leading global producer and exporter of fresh blueberries during the off-season of premium and proprietary varietals that drives the agricultural industry from the challenging north of Peru.

• We obtained the National Environmental Award of Peru, granted by the Ministry of the Environment, and we were 2 times finalist of the Premio Latinoamérica Verde (Green Latin American Award), thanks to our proven commitment to reforestation and biodiversity.

• Up to 9 out of every 10 of our collaborators originate from our areas of influence, accessing a job with rights in a country where informal employment exceeds 70%.

Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Organization (UNO) proposes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) so that States, civil society and companies commit to the reduction in poverty, inequalities and injustices on a global level by 2030.

At Agro Vision we maintain our commitment to 8 SDG, of which the following are priority objectives linked to our purpose -transforming land and lives- identifying opportunities to contribute to the development of people, the environment and our areas of influence.
