Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Organization (UNO) proposes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) so that States, civil society and companies commit to the reduction in poverty, inequalities and injustices on a global level by 2030.

At Agro Vision we maintain our commitment to 8 SDG, of which the following are priority objectives linked to our purpose -transforming land and lives- identifying opportunities to contribute to the development of people, the environment and our areas of influence.

Good agricultural practices and certifications

Good practices:

We guarantee the maximum quality of our products that reach the tables of the entire world, ensuring that our processes comply with the highest standards at each productive stage.

• We have a traceability system with reliable procedures that allow the history of the production, the logistics and the quality of the product to be identified, in order to improve and ensure its freshness, safety and security.

• We are working on a project to ensure traceability through our SAP system, in order to identify the route followed by our products.

• We execute good agricultural practices in the field and in plant manufacturing, and we operate in accordance with sanitation procedures.

• We have a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system that guarantees the safety, security, and quality of our products.


• We strictly comply with the Protocols of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Storage Practices (GSP).
We prevent the presence of pesticides in the finished products.
We rationally use pesticides, agrochemicals and disinfectants.
• We recently began a localized fumigation project which has helped to prevent the presence of toxic pesticide residues in water, soil and air evaluations.
• We avoid the breakdown of the cold chain.


These evaluations and certifications show that our products, in addition to being highly traceable and safe, have been prepared in accordance with strict labor, social and environmental practices and of respect for Human Rights.

Research and innovation

Research and development are essential components of our value proposal since they help us to be more efficient and innovative:

• We invest decisively in research projects

• We seek to improve the agronomic techniques in the cultivation of blueberries and grapes, in order to improve their quality and flavor.

• We have a technological innovation policy to optimize agricultural management which has permitted the implementation of the area of precision agriculture.

We have processes with digital components under the following lines of action:

• Experimental: We develop new crops, agronomic management and yield potential in raspberry, blueberry, in different parts of Peru.

• New technologies: We operate, monitor and evaluate the use of technologies with leading partners in each area across resource efficiency, intelligent Ag, analytics, and utilize specialized software.

• Post-harvest tests: We carry out evaluations of the quality of the varieties of products.

In the year 2020, the activities of precision agriculture increased and were consolidated with the proposal of the Project Information System for Agricultural Management (Smart Agriculture).

Our collaborators

At Agro Vision we provide quality employment that generates real growth opportunities to achieve the purpose of transforming lives, through the attraction and retention of talent, offering sustainable employment.

During 2020, we have directly employed 14,000 collaborators between field personnel and employees.

Over 6,000 women (45% of our field personnel) work with us accessing a good work that allows them to achieve a better quality of life.
Over 7000 (55%) men comprise the rest of our field personnel.
• These collaborators originate, mostly (93%), from the region where we have our greatest presence, Lambayeque, as well as Piura.

Human Rights

We are committed to respect for fundamental work rights. Hence 100% of our operations are submitted to audits such as the SMETA certification, which verifies the compliance of good Ethical Trade practices of the affiliates of the Sedex organization, which includes Human Rights aspects.

Agro Vision Corporate School:

• We maximize the technical, functional, management and leadership competencies necessary to achieve excellence.
• We provide virtual and attendance courses at appropriate times.


• We implemented an epidemiological plan for the surveillance, prevention and control of COVID-19.
• Together with the Peruvian agricultural association, we donated USD 3 million for the acquisition of modern laboratories for the analysis of molecular biology which will allow up to 14 thousand daily tests to be carried out for ruling out COVID-19, through the Asociación NAMUNE.
• We invested more than USD 100,000 for the acquisition of 2 units of molecular diagnosis equipment so that the population from the north of Peru can access diagnostic tests in 2 health centers of the Lambayeque region.

Our Communities

We are genuinely committed to transforming the lives of the people of our areas of influence and to achieve this we need to boost the economy of the local communities where we operate through the employment, the increase in per capita family income of the population, the inclusion of local suppliers in our purchases, investment in social programs, donations, among other actions.

Our areas of influence comprise the districts of Olmos and Mórrope (Lambayeque), areas with high social and economic gaps, with a total population of over 100,000.

Social programs:

Sowing Health
We organize comprehensive and free medical campaigns so that the population of Lambayeque can have access to health services.
Beneficiaries: +10,000 inhabitants.

Sowing Life
We donate drinking water with cistern trucks to the population which does not have access to this vital resource.
Beneficiaries: 1,350 families.

Sowing Education
We helped the population to improve the yield of crops such as cotton and corn, through agronomic training. It has the technical assistance of the FAO (Food and Agricultura Organization of the United Nations), the Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (SENASA) and the Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIA).
Beneficiaries: + than 600 inhabitants.

Sowing Hope
We contributed to mitigating the effects of the pandemic among the inhabitants of our areas of influence, communicating radio messages, donating personal protection equipment and kits of medical products and antibiotics, etc.

Sowing Happiness
We contributed to the development of children and the educational sector: we implemented areas, furnishings for initial education and play zones in 2 educational centers.

Sowing Identity
Reinforces the Mochica (pre-Inca civilization and ancestors of the current population of our area of influence) cultural heritage and supports the development of festivities that reinforce this cultural identity.

Environmental Management

Our operations show that large-scale agriculture can coexist with native ecosystems and carry out practices of efficient and sustainable use of resources.

Diversity and forestation:

Our company Arena Verde is the leader of one of the initiatives that we are most proud of: Sowing Future, the first Peruvian agricultural project with components of sustainability, biodiversity, connectivity, care of flora and fauna, and territorial management.

• Sowing Future cares for and restores one of the 9 types of dry forests located in Peru, one of the world’s unique ecosystems.

• Sowing Future avoids the loss of biodiversity in this area and the endangerment of the ecosystems, reduces the risk of natural disasters and generates natural ecological balance.

• Sowing Future aims, in the coming years, to connect our forest reserve with the main conservation areas that house the forests in the department of Lambayeque, in Peru (a biological corridor that connects 4 out of 5 areas under conservation and protection).

In the year 2020, we executed our Environmental Monitoring Plan monitoring air, water, soil and biodiversity indicators in all of our land parcels, corroborating that our operation does not affect the environment, and that we are achieving an optimum level of balance for our biodiversity.


2,400 environmentally sustainable agricultural hectares.
500 hectares of protection of natural regeneration.
150 hectares of native species of reforested dry forest.
1st forest brigade with a focus on gender that leads the actions of conservation and awareness of the inhabitants and workers of the company and surrounding communities.

Water: efficient use

We responsibly use our main natural resources that make our agriculture model sustainable, especially water.

Modern technical irrigation system with platforms that adequately control the amounts of water, avoiding water losses due to infiltration in the soil and the inefficient use of the water resource; seeking to establish optimal water supply systems for each of our crops.

Modern monitoring equipment that measures the evapotranspiration and in a prompt and systemized manner informs the need for water for each of the crops; thus generating an efficient irrigation system that saves and reduces considerable volumes of water in all of our fields.

A plan of efficient management of 2 sources of supply of surface and underground water, which are employed in compliance with the current national legislation and regulations.

We developed a water treatment project that automates and places hydrometers in the entry interconnections to our reservoirs.

We formed a board of water users to self-manage and ensure the efficient and sustainable use of the underground water in our area of operations.

• We are prepared to apply the compliance of the AWS (Alliance For Water Stewardship) standard.

Towards a circular economy: residues and more

• We implemented a Solid Residue Management Plan so as to minimize the impacts generated by solid waste on the quality of the environment, on the health and welfare of neighboring people and communities, establishing the actions necessary to give residues an adequate technical treatment.
• We have installed central warehouses of solid residues in each of our operations, seeking to minimize residues, segregation in situ, and an adequate final disposal of dangerous and non-dangerous solid residues derived from our activities.
• We implemented control measures, to avoid contaminating the water table, by the treatment of sewage and domestic effluents in all of our agricultural operations.


• In our production cycle we use materials such as meshes, woods and organic residues that have already been used. We prefer to give these materials greater use with the intention of reducing the volumes of residues.
• For example: the meshes that we use in the installations, dining rooms and various areas of the field are not totally discarded, since the best cloths are recovered and adequately reused in our installations.
• Wood residues are also re-used to signpost our crop fields.
• We have been analyzing commercial opportunities and alliances with NGOs related to solid residue projects.

• We will build 1 compost plant for the organic residues generated by our crops and those produced in the dining rooms.
• The compost generated by this plant will be used in our forestation projects.

We use recycled materials for the packaging of our products such as cardboard boxes, plastic boxes, clamshell, plastic crates, corner pallets, straps, staples, plastic bags and rubber bands.
