GESTION – 18, NOV 2013. – The retail chain considers that Peruvian market has a potential to increase its exports of tangelo, sweet onion, avocado and blueberry.
The company is about to close deals with Peruvian local firms to stop using intermediaries. Last year the bought 185 mill boxes (1 mill from Peru). They are expecting to increase in about 10% this year and even more for 2014.
Kroger is already being supply by Agrokasa, La Calera and Camposol but says that with direct purchases the cost is lower for both parties, logistics are more efficient getting more guarantee and quality to costumers.
Actually their direct purchases represent 15% and target to reach 40% by 2014.
