Agro Vision has compiled a team of experts adeptly suited for the execution of its projects, with a broad base of advisors and consultants providing the experience necessary to minimize risk. The team is balanced between expertise executing large scale projects around the world and local expertise in Peru agriculture, hydrology, irrigation, and farming of fruits and vegetables. The team has been assembled with a focus on mitigation of execution risk based on the strong track records in project execution, finance, and management, extensive experience from – and insights into – other related Peruvian projects, and deep relationships within the industry, business, and political communities of the country.

Executive Management

Steve Magami

Co-Founder and Executive Chairman
Mr. Magami has led a career building companies and developing projects. He has generational roots in agriculture and has been active in agri-business, land acquisition, water and infrastructure in Peru since 2007 when he co-founded his first Peruvian company (sold to a $3 billion private equity firm and later to British Petroleum). Mr. Magami previously served as a Principal of Lovell Minnick Partners, the private equity arm of Putnam Lovell Jefferies, responsible for $1 billion in Private Equity partnerships focusing on executing buyouts of middle-market financial services companies. Mr. Magami has served on the boards of numerous private equity, hedge fund, and venture capital-backed companies.

Thomas Snyder

Co-Founder, CEO, and Director
Mr. Snyder has led the execution of more than 40 industrial complexes (fertilizers/ammonia/oil & gas) in more than 20 countries having maintained a career path as CEO in companies with interests around the world during a 25-year run as CEO of the Hamilton Group. He has overseen projects well in excess of $2.5 billion and has successfully formed and managed risk projects for governments, banks, OPIC insurance companies and global investment groups. Notable projects that Mr. Snyder identified, designed, engineered, constructed, invested in, and operated include: building the largest chemical fertilizer plant in South America (Venezuela’s Nitoven); a $400 million gas pipeline in Colombia with Ecopetrol; and the largest fertilizer producer in Spain (Fertiberia). He also has built fertilizer projects throughout Africa including Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Senegal and Garbon and sold ammonia plants to the Ministry of Agriculture in Mynamar and Daqing Petroleum in China.

Juan Jose Gal’Lino

Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Gal’Lino is the former CFO and CEO of Camposol Holding PLC, the largest exporter of asparagus and avocado in the world and the largest agribusiness company in Peru. He served as the CFO during the company’s growth from a start-up to over 6,000 hectares of developed farms in production. Mr. Gal’lino is also the ex-President of Peruvian Asparagus Institute, one of the most important agricultural trade groups in Peru. He is a professor of agro-business in the MBA program of ESAN University and part of its Board of Directors.

Andres Luna

Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Luna has over 15 years of experience in the agribusiness sector. Prior to joining Agro Vision, he served as CFO at Coagra, one of the largest agribusiness companies in Chile involved in the distribution of agri-products and financing of agricultural projects. Previously, Mr. Luna spent 14 years – the last 3 years as Director of Finance – at Dole Chile, the largest fresh fruit exporter in Chile for more than 30 years and a subsidiary of Dole Food Co, the largest fresh fruit trader in the world. Mr. Luna received his MBA from Tulane University and the University of Chile.

Alfonso Altet

Head of Business Development
Mr. Altet is a highly experienced agronomist in Peru with a wide array of international and R&D experience. He has led assignments advising leading Peruvian companies in the fruit and vegetable industry. As an international consultant he has led projects in Israel, Ecuador, Guatemala, Brazil, Spain, South Africa, Australia, Colombia, and the U.S. He holds a MSc. Degree in Crop Production, a post-graduate degree in Seed Production at Japan and a Diploma in Business Management at ESAN.

Peter Devine

Head of Corporate Development
Mr. Devine has led corporate finance and development activities for the company since its founding in April 2012. His background is in private equity and merchant banking and he possesses expertise in financial analysis, financial modeling, and corporate & business development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Farm Management

Felipe Venegas

Senior Agricultural Manager
Mr. Venegas has over 35 years of experience in the Peruvian agri-business industry, and one of the most experienced farmers in the northern coast of Peru in high value crops. Before joining Agro Vision, he was the Head of Northern Farm Operations for Sociedad Agricola Viru, one of the largest exporter of fruits and vegetables in Peru. At Viru, he was responsible for managing the company’s production of thousands of hectares of table grapes, asparagus, avocados, quinoa and peppers.

Patricio Fernandez

Blueberry Production Manager
Mr. Fernandez is one of the most knowledgeable blueberry agronomists in Latin America, with over two decades of experience in agricultural operations, management, and marketing in Chile, Mexico, and Peru. Prior to joining Agro Vision, he spent 6 years with Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, the largest blueberry nursery in the world, first serving as the General Manager of the company’s Mexico operation and then Technical and Operations Manager for all of Latin America. Mr. Fernandez had previously served as Production Manager for Vital Berry, which was acquired by Hortifrut in 2013, and a regional General Manager for the south of Chile for Lafrut.

Alejandro Sanhueza

Director of Blueberry Production & Export
Mr. Sanhueza is an agricultural engineer with over 18 years of experience in the blueberry industry, providing agribusiness and technical advisory, negotiating with customers, and managing large teams. Previously, he worked as a Production Manager for Hortifrut Chile for 3 years, responsible for planning, contracting, and managing company growers. Prior to Hortifrut, he served in a similar capacity as a Production Director for Driscoll´s Chile for 15 years, where he was additionally responsible for managing the company`s nursery, which included an in vitro laboratory focused on the propagation and development of the company´s patented blueberry varieties. Mr. Sanhueza also represented Driscoll’s as a Director on the Chilean Blueberry Committee, an organization consisting of over 30 major blueberry export companies, representing about 80% of total exports.

Jean-Luc Di Florio

Table Grapes Production Manager
Mr. Di Florio is an international viticulture expert with over 35 years of experience. In his career, Mr. Di Florio has held the position of General Manager for different viticulture companies in both France and Peru. Before joining Agro Vision, Mr. Di Florio was the Agricultural Manager for 11 years at Empresa Agricola San Juan S.A., where he pioneered the cultivation of table grapes in northern Peru, ultimately developing and managing a vineyard of over 500 hectares. He attended ENSAM, one of the most prestigious agronomic schools in France.

Erick Tarrillo

Asparagus Production Manager
Mr. Tarrillo is an agricultural engineer with over 13 years of farming experience across asparagus, blueberries, and avocados. Prior to Agro Vision, Mr. Tarrillo served as the agricultural operations chief for Agroindustrial Beta, the leading asparagus producer in world. Most recently he was managing 250 hectares of asparagus, in addition to 750 hectares of blueberries and avocado. Prior to Beta, he worked as a farm chief for major asparagus producers, Viru and Green Peru.

Leonardo Ochoa

Agricultural Manager | Table Grapes
Mr. Ochoa is one of the most experienced table grape farm managers in Peru, with over three decades of experience in the agriculture industry in Peru and two decades of experience in table grapes production and exportation. Before joining Agro Vision, he served as Agricultural Manager for Gandules, a neighboring agribusiness in the north of Peru, and the General Manager of its packing and logistics company. Prior to Gandules, he managed 400 hectares of table grapes and 70 hectares of asparagus at Complejo Agroindustrial Beta, the largest asparagus producer and a top five grape producer in Peru.

Marc Aron

Mr. Aron is the Managing Partner of Commodities Capital, a family office focused on resources, farmland, real estate and commodities private investments. Mr. Aron has over twenty years of experience, formerly with Credit Suisse, Drexel, REFCo, Paine Webber, Mitsui and AIG.


Iyad Duwaji

Mr. Duwaji is a business entrepreneur with a significant track record internationally in turnarounds and growth strategies. Formerly, he was the CEO of SHUAA Capital, a publicly listed company in Dubai. Under his leadership, SHUAA grew by 26 folds over 14 years and was awarded Best Equity House in the UAE by Euromoney for three consecutive years. Mr. Duwaji serves as a director of other companies and is currently focused on growing demand for food and Ag technologies as an investment theme.

Ben Nickoll

Mr. Ben Nickoll is the Managing Partner of El Faro Partners, a family office focused on Lending, Real Estate, Private Equity, Agriculture, and Distressed Securities. He is the former Chief Investment Officer of Ore Hill Partners, an event driven hedge fund firm he co-founded in 2002 and later sold to the Man Group. Mr. Nickoll previously ran High Yield Trading at both Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.

Greg Oberholtzer

Senior Managing Director at WP Global Partners
Mr. Oberholtzer has over 30 years of private equity and investment advisory experience. Prior to joining WP Global, he was a Director of WestAM where he was responsible for their small and middle market buyouts, special situations and co-investments and was a member of the Private Equity Executive Committee and Investment Committee. Greg has early experience in a family-owned produce business. He is a board member of Australis, BrightFarms, Illumitex, Monogram Foods, and VoloAgri, among other portfolio companies, and serves as an advisory board member of more than two dozen invested funds.
